Principal Process Architect, Automotive Software

For our client, a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space, we are seeking a Principal Process Architect for Automotive Software. This role focuses on the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery, working across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the DriveOS process architecture and associated terminology
• Develop a risk-based tailoring framework for process execution
• Establish criteria for process maturity and quality gates
• Translate lifecycle expectations into verifiable workflows and templates
• Collaborate with domain leads and teams to align project evidence and dependencies
• Convert recurring defects and remarks into sustainable process improvements
• Drive automation and AI workflows to enhance efficiency while ensuring governance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, computer science, systems engineering, or quality
• 15+ years in automotive or safety-critical product development
• In-depth knowledge of Automotive SPICE and its practical application
• Strong understanding of software and systems development lifecycles
• Hands-on experience with functional safety and cybersecurity standards
• Proven track record in risk-based tailoring and quality gate establishment
• Excellent communication and influence skills

Pay

$272,000 – $431,250 annually
