Principal Primary Design Engineer

Job Summary

Aures are seeking a Principal Primary Design Engineer for their Energy division. This role offers the chance to work on projects that promote clean energy.

Responsibilities

• Drive safety by design and participate in hazard review meetings.
• Carry out site surveys and coordinate work with site teams as needed.
• Review and propose concept and base designs based on tender information.
• Create design and equipment technical specifications.
• Ensure performance aligns with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for on-time delivery, requirements management, and right-first-time.
• Ensure design work meets quality and KPI targets.
• Deliver design work within project timelines.
• Ensure design work complies with project work information and employer requirements.
• Ensure design work adheres to applicable standards and specifications.

Requirements

• HNC/HND or equivalent (minimum).
• BSc., BEng. or equivalent (desirable).
• IEng or CEng chartership status (desirable).
• Experience in using CAD tools and working in BIM environment.
• 5+ years’ experience in substations design (minimum).
• 8+ years’ experience for Senior title.
• 12+ years’ experience for Principle title.
• Knowledge of HSE statutes.
• Knowledge of general electrical works standards and regulations.
• Knowledge of transformers, switchgear, batteries, cabling, earthing, and lighting standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or equivalent is a minimum.
