Principal (PPC) - Government

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Aid in implementing state legislative and regulatory activities.
• Collaborate with Principals to research and support client's policy agenda and legislative and payer relations strategies.
• Support advocacy coalitions with key stakeholders.
• Track, report, and analyze various legislative and regulatory actions at the state level.
• Prepare reports on legislative and other activity regarding state advocacy for various organizations.
• Respond to specific requests from members and staff regarding government affairs issues.
• Liaise with other associations representing client interests.
• Support social media for timely news and issue-related updates.
• Attend meetings when requested.
• Assist government affairs staff as needed.
• Assist in supporting client meetings, including contacting, scheduling, and disseminating event notices.
• Conduct internet research as needed.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Political Science, Law, or Communications is preferred.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of the state legislative process.
• Knowledge of legislative reporting principles is a plus.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and accommodate rush requests.
• Willingness to work as a team player and support other team members.
• Experience with internet and social media is a plus.
