Brief Overview

NVIDIA is seeking a Principal Performance and Manufacturing Architect to join the Silicon Co-Design Group. This role requires a deep understanding of how transient voltage behavior impacts manufacturing outcomes and the ability to build first-principles models connecting physical parameters to manufacturing results.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will own the physics from mechanism to margin, build first-principles models connecting AVF, defect mechanisms, and DVFS transients to field FIT, system-level yield, and DPPM vs. coverage. They must have a clear track record of defining manufacturing test specifications and have experience running validation experiments from NPI through production.

Responsibilities

  • Own the physics, from mechanism to margin
  • Build first-principles models connecting physical parameters to manufacturing outcomes
  • Specify ATE and SLT voltage, frequency, and timing conditions
  • Author the methodology document for each program and drive alignment across teams
  • Own the per-release validation plan, including experiments, sample sizes, statistical acceptance criteria, and production monitoring

Requirements

  • BSEE / MSEE / PhD or equivalent experience, with 15+ years in the field
  • Deep, hands-on understanding of transient voltage behavior and its impact on defects and timing violations
  • Demonstrated experience building first-principles models connecting physical parameters to manufacturing outcomes
  • Experience defining manufacturing test specifications and owning margin terms
  • Experience running validation experiments from NPI through production

Qualifications

  • Clear track record of defining manufacturing test specifications
  • Experience leading multi-functional alignment on methodology disagreements
  • Experience delivering innovative solutions despite tight schedules

Skills

  • Experience applying AI to production engineering workflows
  • Experience working across the VF specification and manufacturing boundary on multiple nodes
  • Experience evolving approaches as defect populations shift

Benefits

Base salary range: $232,000 - $368,000. Eligible for equity and benefits. Applications accepted until June 29, 2026.

Pay

Base salary will be determined based on location, experience, and comparable positions.
