Principal Observability Engineer

This role will lead operational priorities focused on execution quality, efficiency, safety, and measurable performance outcomes. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. Responsibilities

• Define and advance the enterprise observability vision and roadmap
• Lead Dynatrace SaaS implementation and optimization
• Establish scalable telemetry architecture and OpenTelemetry standards
• Design observability solutions for Kubernetes and microservices
• Apply AIOps for enhanced operational response and automation
• Develop service health models and observability best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to elevate observability maturity
• Guide transition to modern observability from legacy monitoring practices

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 8+ years in observability, monitoring, site reliability engineering, or related fields
• Deep hands-on expertise with Dynatrace SaaS and its latest capabilities
• Strong experience with OpenTelemetry and telemetry practices
• Experience in designing observability solutions for cloud-native and distributed environments
• Hands-on with AIOps and agentic operations
• Strong understanding of operational intelligence and alerting models

Pay

$150,000 – $180,000 annually
