Principal Network Automation Architect

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture of the network automation platform, ensuring production software quality and availability
• Design and maintain a Python-based network-as-code platform, incorporating tools like Ansible and Terraform where needed
• Develop backend services using Flask and contribute to frontend development using JavaScript frameworks like Angular or React
• Establish an API-first architecture with governance for service contracts and versioning
• Arcitect automated service lifecycles for customer-facing network services while ensuring service reliability and performance metrics are met

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant technical experience, including 3+ years in a principal or lead architect role
• 8+ years in platform/software engineering with experience in production software ownership and Python service development (Flask or similar)
• 8+ years of deep expertise in networking and security including MPLS L3VPN, BGP, and multi-vendor policies
• 6+ years in network automation and orchestration, focusing on network-as-code and intent-driven provisioning
• 5+ years with GitOps/CI/CD practices including pipeline authoring and automated validation
• 4+ years in technical leadership, setting architectural standards, and mentoring engineers
• 3+ years in data engineering, specifically with document, graph, and timeseries data models
