Principal Modeling Engineer-Scientist

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and validate thermal and electrochemical models to support battery system design and performance assessment
• Apply MATLAB for model development, simulation, and analysis
• Support modeling activities related to multi-physics interactions within NiZn, Lead-Acid, and Lithium battery systems
• Afford assistance with developing complex thermal and electrochemical models

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related scientific discipline and nine (9) years of experience; Master's degree and seven (7) years of experience
• Experience with thermal modeling
• Proficiency in MATLAB
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based, technical environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in electrical and chemical modeling
• Familiarity with ANSYS thermal modeling tools
