General Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical architecture and packaging design for data center hardware and interconnect solutions.
- Collaborate with customers to understand application requirements, environmental conditions, and operational constraints.
- Develop mechanical design concepts supporting product functionality, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Partner with electrical, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure subsystem integration and design alignment.
- Conduct design reviews, failure analysis, and root-cause investigations.
- Evaluate materials, thermal performance, structural integrity, and environmental considerations.
- Support new product introduction and product lifecycle management activities.
- Develop design standards, best practices, and engineering guidelines.
- Review supplier capabilities and manufacturing processes to ensure successful product execution.
- Identify opportunities to improve product quality, cost, and delivery performance.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of mechanical design and product development experience.
- Experience supporting data center infrastructure, electronics packaging, connectivity products, or related technologies.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, tolerance analysis, thermal management, and reliability engineering.
- Experience utilizing CAD and simulation tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with DFMA, FMEA, and reliability testing methodologies.
- Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of data center infrastructure and interconnect technologies.
- Experience leading cross-functional product development initiatives.
