Principal Manufacturing Analyst - Lead

About the role
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Principal Manufacturing Analyst to lead our Production Team in Linthicum, MD. The successful candidate will have strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills with a history of problem resolution and process improvement. This role supports the MD&F Cell, Cell Metrics, Dynamic Production Scheduling (DPS), the MESA Program, and various smaller programs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Lead Planner for the P&MC organization, coordinating production planning across multiple shifts within the MD&F cell.
- Drive the timely flow of product through the MD&F cell to meet internal and external customer delivery requirements.
- Interface between support and management functions within P&MC, Manufacturing & Program Operations, Global Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Engineering, and Quality organizations.
- Consolidate, analyze, and organize production data to provide status of hardware through manufacturing processes, including kit conversions, manufacturing processes, and final delivery.
- Track and report P&MC Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as On Time to Release (OTTR), Last Touch (LT), Out of Cycle (OOC), On Time to Finish (OTTF), etc.
- Lead execution to reduce Aging Orders, Overdue hours, 'Confirmed not Delivered' orders, floor stock inventory control issues, Missing in Action (MIA), Not in Location (NIL) orders, and resolve material shortages.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Analysts/Planners on P&MC planning, scheduling, and visibility tools.
- Advise P&MC Management on Continuous Improvement projects.
- Develop presentations and lead reporting for the P&MC Commodities organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Materials, MRP, Production Control, or Business Coordination; OR Master’s Degree with 3 years of experience; OR 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience working with SAP/ERP or other related systems.
- Experience leading/coaching people and/or projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, or closely related fields.
- Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
- Active/Current U.S. Government Secret Security clearance.

Pay
Primary level salary range: $89,900.00 – $134,900.00. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
