Responsibilities

  • Implements machine learning (ML) models for production, ensuring readiness for deployment.
  • Automates machine learning workflows, including data extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), model deployment, and monitoring to establish continuous integration and delivery of ML solutions.
  • Creates infrastructure and frameworks to monitor the performance and alignment of trained models with design criteria.
  • Proactively monitors deployed models, troubleshoots issues independently or collaborates with Data Science teams.
  • Develops novel metrics to provide analytical insights for non-technical stakeholders on model performance.
  • Evaluates potential data quality issues (e.g., bias, fairness), data security, and privacy impacts on modeling.
  • Performs data cleaning, preprocessing, and feature identification to prepare for model training.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders (e.g., data scientists, software developers) to integrate ML models into new or existing systems.
  • Provides expert troubleshooting and debugging support for ML infrastructure and workflows, creating robust solutions to prevent future issues.
  • Develops, maintains, and refines tools, platforms, and services for internal use.
  • Writes efficient, bug-free, medium-complexity code from scratch and maintains existing codebases.
  • Implements best practices for version control, code review, and deployment.
  • Builds and maintains professional documentation for technical processes, including experimentation, data collection, and model building.
  • Tests and reviews code for bugs.
  • Manages and coordinates moderately complex tasks, monitoring timelines and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
  • Delegates, monitors, and prioritizes work across multiple projects, providing technical oversight.
  • Collaborates across the organization to align on expectations and achieve shared objectives.
  • Leverages understanding of business leaders, stakeholders, and customers to ensure solutions meet their needs.
  • Supports inclusivity by actively seeking and listening to diverse perspectives.
  • Identifies and addresses moderately complex issues, analyzing data to propose solutions.
  • Proactively escalates unresolved or critical issues with thorough assessments and potential solutions.
  • Reviews, contributes to, and documents problem-solving strategies.
  • Pursues learning opportunities to expand knowledge and skills in new areas and stays updated on industry trends.

Skills

  • Proficiency in machine learning frameworks, packages, and libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras).
  • Familiarity with current developments in the machine learning field and integration into model development.
  • Experience in software development, including writing efficient, bug-free code.
  • Knowledge of version control, code review, and deployment best practices.
  • Ability to evaluate and integrate third-party ML tools into production environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills for ML infrastructure and workflows.

Pay

Hiring range in USD: $126,200 - $264,100 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
