Principal Machine Learning Engineer

The role

As a Principal ML Engineer, you’ll sit at the sharp end of applied AI, architecting and shipping LLM, RAG and agentic platforms used across the business. This is a hands-on senior IC role with real influence: setting engineering standards, mentoring senior engineers, and shaping AI strategy alongside leadership.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing, deploying and operating LLMs, RAG pipelines and autonomous agents
• Building scalable Python backends & APIs (FastAPI, async systems)
• Owning LLMOps/MLOps, cloud AI infrastructure and observability
• Driving best practice across ML, software engineering and platform design

What we’re looking for

• 10+ years in ML / software / data roles, expert Python engineer
• Strong experience with GenAI frameworks, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Production mindset: distributed systems, reliability, scalability
• Comfortable influencing teams and leaders without line management
