About the role
Principal Lab Solutions Integration and Modernization Specialist in Digital Operations Factory & Lab Modernization, collaborate with team to support fast-paced, critical efforts with unclassified information system capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Design and integrate secure, cost-efficient environments across various unclassified labs, IRADs and efforts.
- Collaborate and guide engineering teams to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems.
- Exposure to electronic test equipment, industrial cybersecurity, cyber compliance, and engineering automation.
- Research and solution development for integration of networked Engineering lab assets with Enterprise Services and Solutions.
- Deploy and support tactical instance-specific Engineering lab asset integration.
- Perform network and system analysis to identify integration challenges and provide solutions.
- Maintain designs to support basic cyber hygiene of unclassified engineering lab assets.
- Solution enablement to remediate IT and OT vulnerabilities.
- Coding & scripting to support administrative tasks (not a requirement).
- Assist with enhancing cyber compliance documentation and processes.
- Coordinate technical and process document reviews.
- Participate and lead technical meetings with team members and other program and / or department personnel.
- Represent the organization in functional area matters.
- Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows, RedHat Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu environment.
- Apply critical thinking/problem-solving skills to resolve time-sensitive issues.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years' experience.
- Windows and/or Linux user experience.
- 2+ years of experience with administration of Windows, Linux.
- Experience with networking concepts (e.g. network addressing, IP, DNS, TCP, switches, firewalls, MAC addresses, network protocols, etc.).
- Experience in mentoring others and / or leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Organizational skills to include attention to detail, time management and ability to multi-task.
- Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification).
- Direct working experience with ITAR/EAR, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF.
- Experience with virtual host solutions (e.g. VMware).
- Experience with cloud solution providers (e.g. AWS).
- Experience with 3D-printer configuration and support.
- Experience with MatLab.
- Experience with scripting (e.g. PowerShell, bash, Python, …).
- Experience with backup and recovery enterprise suites.
- Experience with analysis, monitoring, and visualization of data from various sources.
