Principal Kubernetes Engineer

For a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space, we are seeking a Principal Kubernetes Engineer to lead operational priorities focused on execution quality, efficiency, safety, and measurable performance outcomes. Collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. Influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within an Aerospace & Defense environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Design and operate secure enterprise Kubernetes platforms for hybrid cloud environments
• Architect resilient platform services to facilitate secure software delivery
• Develop reusable capabilities for simplifying application deployment and management
• Implement automation and continuous delivery to enhance platform reliability
• Engineer secure Kubernetes services focused on management and security features
• Troubleshoot complex issues across Kubernetes and various infrastructures
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive platform solutions

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance at the time of application
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline related to Computer Science or Software Engineering
• Minimum of 6 years of experience with production Kubernetes platforms
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent
• Proven experience in secure enterprise Kubernetes platform operations
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and cloud-native infrastructure practices

Pay

$175,000 – $250,000 annually
