Principal Investigator

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Investigator to join the team of a leader in the Staffing space. This remote role focuses on cultural resources compliance within a specialized environmental and regulatory services setting. The Principal Investigator will provide expert guidance on Section 106/110 matters, help shape regulatory strategies, and lead projects from planning through implementation. The position also emphasizes stakeholder engagement, professional visibility, and consistent delivery of high-quality work in support of the company's broader client services. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually Responsibilities Serve as a subject matter expert on cultural resources compliance Provide strategic direction and consultation on regulatory pathways and methodologies Ensure compliance with environmental regulations such as NHPA and NEPA Maintain a strong external reputation through publications and presentations Promote efficiencies and uphold quality standards in deliverables Build relationships with stakeholders to stay informed on policies Represent the organization in professional organizations and regulatory forums Lead and manage projects from planning through implementation Qualifications Graduate degree in archaeology, anthropology, or a related field 12+ years of experience in Section 106/110 compliance Experience in cultural resource management in the Midwest or South Proven leadership and mentoring skills Strong communication and organizational skills Innovative problem-solving approach Commitment to continuous learning and professional development Benefits Competitive 401(k) match Tailored career development paths Flexible work arrangements Engagement in community-impacting work Participation in a wellness program promoting balanced lifestyles Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
