Responsibilities
- Represent the Information Security team with the lines of Business by working with the Information Technology
- Research, recommend, deploy and integrate the security tools and processes needed to protect the information assets and infrastructure
- Advise on secure application development and infrastructure support and drive implementation of recommendations through project teams
- Engage with other teams across the Reyes Family of Businesses to help design and enhance the security controls for Information Technology or Information Security products, services, processes, applications, and systems
- Communicate ideas both verbally and in writing to leadership, business, Security, and IT sponsor and technical resources in language that is appropriate for each group
- Participate in security governance activities as required to evaluate the security controls and protections for new or modified technology business products, services, processes, applications, and systems
- Perform Proof of Concept for Security features working closely with the engineering teams and proactively following through to successful implementation in the product
- Lead and/or assist efforts to scope and architect major change initiatives, leading strategic options analysis & proposing end-to-end solutions & highlighting trade-offs
- Solve advanced problems and deal with various options in complex situations
- Develop strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment using expert-level analytical and quantitative skills
- Make recommendations that have a direct impact on the company based on the analysis of others
- Review ongoing designs of initiatives to ensure they align with strategic roadmaps and target architectures and comply with technology; resolve design issues during delivery
- Perform in-depth research on Network/Security industry risks and trends and perform benchmarking analysis to provide enhanced insights and maturity compared to industry peers and competitors
- Negotiate and liaise with different business and technology teams within the organization
- Provide technical expertise and support and act as escalation point for the Security Team, to review and resolve technical issues through completion, including root cause analysis and/or corrective action
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide support as needed, which may include off-hours
- Other projects or duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technology discipline and 6+ years in the IT industry, with experience in Network/Security services or High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 9+ years of the above-stated experience
- Highly familiar with modern network, security, computing, storage, database, virtualization, cloud, and security technologies
- Experience with application management, configuration management, OS baseline configuration, and integration with security tools
- Knowledge of current and emerging device architectures and security standard methodologies
- Understanding of APIs, automated deployment methods, and API security management in a corporate setting
- Proficiency or working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and methodologies such as NIST and/or ISO
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (Route/Switch, Wireless, Load Balancing, OT/IOT, etc.)
