Principal Hypersonic Test Engineer

About the role

The Principal Hypersonic Test Engineer is responsible for designing, conducting, and analyzing tests on hypersonic vehicles to ensure they meet safety and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive test programs for hypersonic vehicles
• Analyze test data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new testing methodologies
• Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in aerospace engineering
• Experience with hypersonic vehicle testing and analysis
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently

Qualifications

• Proficiency in MATLAB and other relevant software tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Skills

• Expertise in aerodynamics and propulsion systems
• Knowledge of hypersonic physics and materials science
• Experience with flight simulation and modeling
