Duties
- coach and train entry-level Hardware Engineers
- develop process improvement and implementation plans
- develop electronic platforms and motor controls
- act as lead product design engineer for electronic applications
- mentor junior Hardware Engineers to solve complex problems
- perform root cause analysis and error correction of system level problems relating to hardware, controls, firmware, and architecture
- stay abreast of new technology and competitors' products
- suggest hardware procedure enhancements
- share lessons learned
Requirements
- Master's degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronics engineering, mechatronics engineering, or related field, and 4 years of experience (gained at any time) in any engineering or technical role which included at least one of the skills listed below.
- Included within the 4 years of experience, must have experience in all of the following: communication protocols; data protocols (RS-422, USB, or PCIe); design tools (PSpice, MATLAB, or Mathcad); EDA tools (Cadence, Altium, or Mentor Graphics); OEM standards and EMC design guidelines; electronic platform design; test setup and hardware connections; testing and troubleshooting; power electronics (linear, switching PS, or power distribution).
- In lieu of master's degree and 4 years of experience, will accept bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronics engineering, mechatronics engineering, or related field, and 6 years of post-bachelor's, progressive experience in engineering or technical roles which must have included the skills listed above.
