Principal GNC Engineer

About the role

The Principal GNC Engineer will lead the development and implementation of guidance, navigation, and control systems for advanced space missions. This role requires a deep understanding of spacecraft dynamics and control algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and integration of GNC systems for new spacecraft projects
• Develop and test control laws for autonomous spacecraft operations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers
• Contribute to the analysis and optimization of mission trajectories

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in spacecraft engineering
• Experience with spacecraft dynamics, control theory, and trajectory optimization
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Proficiency in MATLAB and Python for simulation and analysis
• Experience with spacecraft control systems and algorithms
• Knowledge of spacecraft dynamics and orbital mechanics
• Understanding of spacecraft power systems and thermal management

Skills

• Advanced knowledge of spacecraft control systems

Pay

Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually, depending on experience

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM
