Principal Generative AI Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Generative AI Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space. This role will shape advanced AI capabilities that turn large-scale geospatial data into actionable intelligence for mission-critical use cases. You will architect and deploy agentic systems, LLM-enabled workflows, and scalable data pipelines that improve analytical depth, reliability, and operational decision-making. The position partners closely with engineering and cloud teams to deliver secure, production-ready AI solutions in complex enterprise environments. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $135,000 – $198,000 annually Responsibilities Build AI-native products that convert large-scale geospatial data into actionable intelligence. Design multi-agent workflows using orchestration frameworks for autonomous reasoning and planning. Integrate state-of-the-art LLMs for contextual analysis and adaptive decision-making. Engineer agents for dynamic tool use and iterative self-refinement. Develop data ingestion and transformation layers for pattern-of-life analysis and predictive analytics. Ensure secure, scalable integrations across cloud and enterprise environments. Create feedback loops to improve model reliability and operational trustworthiness. Deploy AI systems in production using modern DevOps practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred. Must be a U.S. Citizen. 7+ years of experience in software engineering and AI/ML. Strong understanding of cloud-based data management and machine learning pipelines, including AWS or GCP.
