About the role
The Principal Game Engine Team Lead, Platform will oversee the development and maintenance of game engine technologies across multiple platforms. This individual will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, providing technical guidance, and ensuring that the game engines meet high standards of performance and quality.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and maintenance of game engine technologies across multiple platforms.
- Lead a team of engineers in the design, implementation, and testing of game engine features.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Ensure that game engines meet high standards of performance and quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including artists, designers, and other engineers to ensure seamless integration of game engine technologies.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in game engine development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in game engine development, with at least 5 years leading a team of developers.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality game engine technologies on time and within budget.
- Experience with multiple game engine technologies, including Unity, Unreal Engine, or similar.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Qualifications
- Experience with C++ and scripting languages such as C#, Python, or Lua.
- Knowledge of game physics, graphics, and AI systems.
- Experience with cloud-based game deployment and management.
- Understanding of game development workflows and processes.
Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of game development tools and pipelines.

Pay
- Base salary range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year.
