Job Description
GliaCell is seeking a Principal Full Stack Software Engineer on one of our subcontracts. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems to a large government contract.
Responsibilities
- Develop end-to-end full-stack solutions, including user interfaces, REST middleware, databases, and analytics to support the ES team's mission.
- Automate new opportunities and capabilities to be seamlessly leveraged by CNO and its partners.
- Maintain and update existing front-end interfaces utilizing JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Bootstrap, and jQuery, while preparing to migrate future front-ends to modern UI libraries like React, Angular, or Vue.
- Optimize existing backends using Python, Asyncio, and Pandas, and occasionally perform updates to legacy Java Map/Reduce and GHOSTMACHINE analytics.
- Manage and deploy services within existing infrastructure environments using MACHINESHOP, Docker, Nginx, and GitLab CI/CD, while planning expansions into C2S and HCI.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and Opencode to accelerate code delivery and enhance team development velocity
Key Requirements
- Possess an active or rein-statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship
- 12+ years Software Engineering experience and a BS degree in Computer Science or related.
- Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
- Works well independently as well as on a team.
- Strong communication skills.
Key Skills
- Experience with successful software development on NSANet, demonstrating familiarity with environment ecosystems such as MACHINESHOP, C2S, or GHOSTMACHINE.
- Production-grade software development experience in Python and JavaScript to build robust, full-stack architectures.
- Knowledge of developing user interfaces, REST middleware, databases, and analytics within a cross-functional team framework.
- Experience with collaborative development workflows, showcasing a strong history of teamwork and communication skills.
- Familiarity with git-based version control systems and continuous integration pipelines.
Desired Skills
- Experience working within CNO, specifically with ATPG, TURBINE/ASGARD, or other automation platforms, alongside past CNE exposure.
- Experience using and customizing AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Codex, Opencode, etc.) through advanced configurations like Skills and Memory.
- Familiarity with modern UI libraries (React, Angular, Vue) and cloud-based hosting environments like AWS.
- Experience with infrastructure expansion and deployment utilizing tools such as C2S, HCI, Docker, Nginx, and GitLab CI/CD.
