Principal Full Stack Engineer (MarTech, CDP, Data and Integrations)
The Role
Fidelity Investments is seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to lead the evolution of our Marketing Technology and Data Platform capabilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, configuring, testing, and supporting a complex Customer Data Platform (CDP) ecosystem that modernizes marketing audience management and cross-channel communications.
About the role
This role demands strong hands-on experience in solution architecture design and delivery, particularly in Marketing Technology and Data Engineering. The candidate will leverage Twilio Segment CDP, integrating it across various cloud environments, SaaS platforms, and custom applications. Experience with AWS, Snowflake, and Generative AI solutions is essential.
Responsibilities
- Led platform, capabilities, and application design, development, configuration, testing, and support of a complex CDP ecosystem
- Integrate CDP solutions across AWS cloud environments, SaaS platforms, Snowflake, and custom applications/APIs
- Build full-stack solutions on AWS, including Kubernetes, Lambda, APIs, and event-driven architectures
- Design and build solutions with strong non-functional characteristics, including information security, availability, scalability, performance, reusability, and agility
- Prototype and integrate Generative AI solutions (prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings) into MarTech platforms and campaign workflows
- Design and integrate AI-enabled solutions across CDP, orchestration, and activation systems
- Partner with data science teams to operationalize predictive models (propensity, churn, lifetime value)
- Support responsible AI adoption, including governance, data privacy, and performance optimization
Requirements
- 10+ years of overall software engineering experience
- Expertise in Twilio Segment CDP, including platform administration and features like identity resolution, usage and governance, and functional capabilities like zero-copy linked audience management, activations, integrations, sources, and destinations
- Experience with database technologies such as DynamoDB and PostgreSQL
- Certifications in AWS, Snowflake, or MarTech platforms are a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an innovative and forward-thinking approach to addressing challenges within complex data and SaaS environments
- Subject matter expertise in marketing segmentation, data, and end-to-end campaign setup and activation across Email, Web, Mobile, and Paid Media channels
Skills
- Hands-on experience in solution architecture design and delivery, with a focus on Marketing Technology and Data Engineering
- Strong experience building full-stack solutions on AWS, including Kubernetes, Lambda, APIs provider and consumer, and event-driven architectures, messaging platforms, and company frameworks with development in Java and Python
- Strong experience with Snowflake data architecture and engineering, including Data modeling, Creating and managing tables and views, Writing and reviewing SQL queries, Cluster right-sizing, Performance tuning and compute cost optimization for high-volume data processing (tens of millions of records)
- Experience with Generative AI solutions (prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings) and their integration into MarTech platforms and campaign workflows
- Ability to design and integrate AI-enabled solutions across CDP, orchestration, and activation systems
- Experience designing and building solutions with strong non-functional characteristics, including information security, availability, scalability, performance, reusability, and agility
- Subject matter expertise in marketing segmentation, data, and end-to-end campaign setup and activation across Email, Web, Mobile, and Paid Media channels

Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
