About the role
Fidelity Investments is looking for a top full-stack engineer to drive high user satisfaction through skilled development of workflow and business process tools within our product portfolio. This role will play a key part in developing industry-standard applications and is based in Salt Lake City, UT.
The Team
As part of the Advanced Process Solutions division, you will join a Scrum team of 5-8 highly talented individuals focused on re-imagining the next generation of Fidelity's workflow suite of tools. This team is dedicated to full-stack development efforts supporting the growth of a new enterprise workflow platform. A mixture of front-end, back-end, data, and cloud skills will be required for success in this role.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a similar technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years of development experience with TypeScript, JavaScript (Angular preferred), NodeJS, HTML5/CSS3
- Experience with Kubernetes
- 2+ years with AWS serverless services, such as:
- AWS Lambda
- DynamoDB
- SQS
- IAM
- CloudFormation
- Experience with RESTful APIs
- Experience with Java and Python is a plus
- Experience with enterprise business, financial, BPM, or similar software is a major plus
- Experience with Form.io is a plus
Skills
- Ability to build, maintain, and troubleshoot applications in EKS and AWS Serverless technologies
- Ability to build deployment pipelines using Jenkins, Terraform, CloudFormation, and other Infrastructure as Code methods
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem resolution skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Responsibilities
- Accountable for consistent delivery of functional software—sprint to sprint, release to release
- Excellence in software development practices and procedures
- Participates in application-level architecture
- Develops original and creative technical solutions to ongoing development efforts
- Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables (end-to-end tests, unit tests, automation)
- Responsible for supporting implementation of moderate-scope projects or major initiatives
- Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project
- Assists in developing departmental technical policies and procedures
- May assist in establishing project plans for projects of moderate scope
Schedule
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout. Currently, this role requires 100% onsite presence in Salt Lake City, UT. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues.
