Principal Faculty/Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) - MSPA Program

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Program Director with maintaining accreditation by coordinating efforts to meet or exceed ARC‑PA standards.
  • Instruct first‑year and second‑year PA students, including lecturing in areas of expertise such as History and Physical Diagnosis, Advanced Patient Evaluation, Clinical Skills/Procedures, OSCEs, Clinical Year Document Review, and Master’s Capstone advising.
  • Prepare students for clinical practice and serve as a Master’s Capstone advisor.
  • Review academic and clinical curricular content for appropriateness to PA practice; monitor evaluation of learning outcomes; create and review academic and clinical exams.
  • Participate on appropriate committees as scheduled, including ARC‑PA accreditation and program evaluation activities.
  • Engage in the admissions process: review applications, interview candidates, and serve on the admissions committee.
  • Develop, review, and revise the program’s mission statement, goals, and competencies.
  • Encourage scholarly activities (professional organization involvement, research, etc.).
  • Provide remedial instruction and prepare accreditation documents; participate in the self‑study process.
  • Participate in school‑wide committees and recruitment efforts.
  • Perform other duties or leadership positions as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid and unrestricted state license to practice.
  • Board certification or emeritus status, if applicable.
  • Current or recent clinical practice.
  • Minimum of three years of clinical practice experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous teaching experience in a Physician Assistant program or other graduate medical education program.

Education

Master’s degree or higher in a healthcare profession such as Physician Assistant (preferred), Nurse Practitioner, Physician, or Pharmacist.

Compensation

$120,000 – $125,000 annually.
