Principal Engineer - Water Process, Treatment and Distribution

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage projects involving drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater systems.
  • Provide project management and design assistance for WWTP upgrades, sewer system extensions, and waterline extensions.
  • Review and oversee new user plan submissions for municipal clients.
  • Prepare technical reports, design documents, and engineering studies.
  • Track financial aspects of projects, ensuring budgets and schedules are met.
  • Cookordination workload and mentor junior engineering staff.
  • Oversee construction administration and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in client meetings, fostering strong communication and collaboration.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field required.
  • 7+ years of related experience in water process, treatment, and distribution projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum 2 years of project management experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D required.
  • Experience with MS Office and MS Project (MS Access a plus).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client-interaction skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality results.

Pay

T&M Associates estimates that the salary range for this position will fall between $105,000 - $135,000. The actual salary offered may vary within this range, depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, educational qualifications, specific skills and knowledge, as well as internal pay equity and geographic location.
