Responsibilities
- Responsible for applications including Primary Flight Displays, Maps, Windows Manager and Video.
- Maintain applications and work with Model Based software development with Simulink and testing/verification using Python and harness environments using C/C++.
- Architect, design, develop and test embedded software in avionics products.
- Collaborate on software requirements and design.
- Implement and test software.
- Solve complex software and systems problems.
- Design and implement build procedures that are used to support hardware and software product development and use.
- Design, develop, document, test and design control and diagnostic systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
- Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers in the planning, design, development and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
- Determine end-user needs by analyzing system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements and input data acquisition.
Requirements
- Must possess at least a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field and at least 8 years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer or related role in the aerospace industry. In the alternative, must possess at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field and at least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or related role in the aerospace industry.
- At least 5 years of experience with RTCA DO-178C Certification, DO-330, 331, 332, FAA SOI, TCR Audits, TSO Certification for safety critical airworthy embedded systems.
- At least 5 years of experience with defining, validating system/software requirements, application architecture prototyping, low level design and development.
- At least 5 years of experience with ARINC communications including ARINC 429, 661, 664 and 615A.
- At least 5 years of experience with Embedded C programming, debugging, troubleshooting hardware-software system integration.
- At least 5 years of experience in developing avionics software with Visual Studio, VAPs graphics, Human Machine Interface design, Python & Model based development using MATLAB Simulink.
Non-U.S. Person – Position will not offer work immigration sponsorship and will seek export authorizations to allow the individual to work on a specific program or project.
Pay
The salary range is $135,803.00 to $204,500.00 USD per year. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
