Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the long-term vision for front-end (wafer) test coverage, focusing on high I/O parallelism and low-latency solutions.
  • Proactively develop long-range initiatives aligned with company goals to achieve best-in-class yield, quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Champion disruptive design-for-test and design-for-debug methodologies to enhance coverage and optimize test cost; collaborate closely with memory technology experts.
  • Oversee wafer test development from NPI through mass production across multiple geographies within Product and Test Engineering.
  • Align hardware solutions with organizational requirements and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Design for Manufacturability (DFM) mindset, creating flexible/reliable hardware and software test infrastructure to reduce CapEx for new designs.
  • Investigate qualification and yield issues during NPI, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve coverage and process robustness.
  • Transform test data into actionable insights for design and manufacturing teams to enhance product quality and yield.
  • Guide peers, lead technical reviews, and serve as a recognized subject-matter expert.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in memory, storage, or system-level product, test, or validation engineering.
  • Deep understanding of design principles, including simulation, emulation, and manufacturing processes.
  • Hands-on experience in functional and stress testing, with proficiency in failure analysis using oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, and signal injection tools.
  • Proficient in C, C++, and Python for test automation and data analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of NAND (Toggle/ONFI), DDR3–DDR5, LPDDR3–LPDDR5, GDDR3–GDDR6, HBM2/3/3E/4, and PCIe Gen5/Gen6.
  • Experienced with Automated Test Equipment platforms such as Advantest and Teradyne.
  • Specialized in DRAM/NAND memory and SSD storage technologies for data center and AI platforms.
