Principal Engineer - Networking
Our client, a leading organization in the technology and networking industry, is seeking a Principal Engineer to join their innovative team. This is a senior individual contributor role that requires end-to-end experience in networking solutions.
About the role
As a Principal Engineer, you will define complex networking platform solutions and lead a multidisciplinary team through the entire development process. You will engage extensively during EVT phases, ensuring design quality metrics are achieved and maintained. Additionally, you will manage a small supporting team, driving goals and objectives within a collaborative environment involving Technology, Development, and Customer teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain close technical relationships with suppliers and partners on product roadmaps and emerging technologies.
- Lead technical responses for RFQs, prepare system requirements documents, and deliver technical proposals to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years of network hardware design experience, with at least 10 years at the system level.
- Strong knowledge of network product design across various market segments including enterprise access, data center infrastructure, and telecommunications.
- Experience with CPU devices such as Intel & AMD x86 embedded processors and ARM embedded processors.
- Familiarity with high-speed design, PCB materials, Serdes technology, and optical devices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.

Pay
Pay range: $190,000 - $240,000, plus bonus structure and RSU upside.
