Responsibilities
- Lead a project team responsible for the design, configuration, and testing of continuous and batch control applications.
- Understand the project scope and financials, exercising good time management skills to plan and coordinate the work as part of a project team.
- Anticipate and provide solutions to the customer, giving high priority to customer satisfaction, offering strong technical expertise and advisement as part of the project team.
- Adapt to a flexible work schedule and travel, if necessary, to participate in the design, development, and start-up of control systems at the client's facility.
- Act as an automation Subject Matter Expert.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of hands-on experience executing automation projects, preferably in the Life Sciences domain.
- Knowledge of GMP, controls design, and facility start-up.
- Experience with Rockwell, Ignition, Servers, and ISA S88 Batch standard, ISA S95 Controls System Architecture standard, GAMP 5, and cGMP 21 CFR Part 11.
- Experience developing process control system applications, utilizing PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and knowledge of control system network topology.
- Experience with virtual server-based control system architectures, tuning control loops, providing control system qualifications, and troubleshooting existing control systems.
- Experience working at customer sites supporting the installation and commissioning of equipment and systems.
Qualifications
- BS Engineering degree.
- Hands-on experience executing automation projects for process plants.
- Experience with Rockwell, Ignition, Servers, and ISA S88 Batch standard, ISA S95 Controls System Architecture standard, GAMP 5, and cGMP 21 CFR Part 11.
- Experience developing process control system applications, utilizing PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and knowledge of control system network topology.
- Experience with virtual server-based control system architectures, tuning control loops, providing control system qualifications, and troubleshooting existing control systems.
- Experience working at customer sites supporting the installation and commissioning of equipment and systems.
Skills
- Object-oriented software development & delivery methodologies.
- Experience with the design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of virtual server-based control system architectures.
- Experience with process instrumentation specification, installation, and troubleshooting, and control panel design, check-out, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Experience rapidly troubleshooting and solving equipment and instrument-related issues during start-up and commissioning and performing complex system testing.
