About the role

This role is responsible for defining and leading the engineering approach for solutions at the program or portfolio level to deliver significant business outcomes. The position focuses on continuously improving the design, quality, and reuse of solutions while delivering technology enablers that enhance development efficiencies. As a transformational Senior Technology Leader, you will lead large-scale payments data and analytics platforms, deliver AI-driven insights capabilities, modernize enterprise data ecosystems, strengthen data governance and regulatory compliance, and partner closely with business leaders to drive growth, operational excellence, and client value across global payments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the engineering approach for the entire program/portfolio solution and collaborate with Architecture to implement technical enablers.
  • Lead the planning, definition, and design of complex features spanning multiple teams and explore solution alternatives.
  • Create innovative approaches for designing complex technology and solution development, including boundary condition coverage for technology issues.
  • Validate the economic impact of design decisions.
  • Provide technical oversight for teams in solution development, including design reviews and code within your domain.
  • Define the technology tool stack for the solution using internally approved and supported technologies.
  • Explore state-of-the-art technologies to improve development efficiencies, test/QA coverage, and release management.
  • Lead and own the end-to-end test strategy, creation, adherence, and integration between teams for a program/portfolio solution.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert in engineering and serve as a "go-to" reference across the organization.
  • Lead enterprise analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, and AI/ML initiatives for Global Payments Insights and Business Intelligence.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of technology leadership experience leading large global teams.
  • Deep knowledge of global payments, treasury services, cash management, liquidity, receivables, and transaction banking.
  • Strong understanding of payment ecosystems, including Wire Payments, RTP/Instant Payments, ACH, Cross-Border Payments, ISO 20022, and regulatory/compliance reporting.
  • Experience supporting large-scale payment platforms and data environments.
  • Experience leading enterprise analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, and AI/ML teams.
  • Proven track record delivering executive reporting platforms, operational analytics, client insights, regulatory reporting solutions, and self-service analytics capabilities.
  • Expertise with modern data architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, streaming platforms, and cloud-native analytics solutions.
  • Experience managing enterprise data products and authorized data sources.
  • Strong understanding of Data Fabric architectures, metadata management, data observability, data quality frameworks, data lineage, Governance-as-Code, and AI/GenAI-enabled analytics.
  • Experience leveraging AI to improve business insights, operational intelligence, and decision-making.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-scale cloud and hybrid architectures.
  • Hands-on understanding of distributed data platforms, real-time processing, API ecosystems, event-driven architectures, data engineering frameworks, analytical platforms, and BI tools.
  • Experience modernizing legacy platforms and driving cloud transformation initiatives.

  • Strong knowledge of data controls, data quality management, data lineage, metadata management, risk and audit processes, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Ability to drive trusted, compliant, and AI-ready data ecosystems.
  • Proven ability to translate business strategy into technology roadmaps.
  • Experience partnering with product organizations, operations, finance, risk, compliance, and audit teams.
  • Strong focus on business value realization, client outcomes, and measurable ROI.
  • History of building high-performing engineering and analytics organizations.
  • Experience attracting, retaining, and developing senior technology talent.
  • Strong commitment to inclusion, coaching, succession planning, and leadership development.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Schedule

1st shift (United States of America), 40 hours per week.
