Your Impact

• Research, develop, and maintain thermodynamic and transport property modeling software for AspenTech’s market-leading process modeling products.
• Utilize expertise in thermodynamic and transport properties modeling to support products including Aspen HYSYS and Aspen Plus.

Responsibilities

• Application Development: Design, develop, maintain, and support engineering software solutions for modeling thermodynamic and transport properties for the chemical and petroleum industry, including flash algorithms, data regression, property estimation, and more.
• Research: Investigate new and developing technologies in industry and academia to determine how to leverage them within AspenTech software applications.
• Technical Leadership: Act as the subject matter expert for physical property calculations, guiding engineers to develop robust solutions.
• Collaboration: Work with product managers, designers, and developers to understand customer needs and translate them into application solutions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of industrial or academic experience in developing thermodynamic or transport property models.
• Strong coding skills in C++, C, or FORTRAN.
• Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering; PhD preferred.
• Experience in process engineering and optimization, including hands-on use of AspenTech Performance Engineering products such as Aspen HYSYS and Aspen Plus.
• Strong math and analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $127,000.00 - $158,700.00. This range may be adjusted based on several factors and includes eligibility for bonus or variable incentive pay.
