About the role

The AWS Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Engagement Manager (EM) to lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects. This role combines technical expertise with strong project leadership skills to drive successful implementations of AWS-based solutions for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing complex cloud migration and implementation projects
  • Leveraging comprehensive knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning
  • Bridging business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating engineering discussions and ensuring alignment with customer business outcomes
  • Distingushing customer needs into clear technical requirements and mapping them to business outcomes
  • Decomposing complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions
  • Contributing to technical documentation and defining documentation standards

Requirements

  • 8+ years of cloud computing experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in project management of technical programs
  • Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.)
  • Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies

Qualifications

  • Experience leading engagements using industry standard program management techniques including Agile at scale delivery frameworks and project management toolsets
  • Knowledge of AWS services
  • Experience managing executive customer relationships and key business stakeholders
  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (like TOGAF, Zachman) and identifying the relationships between business services, information, applications and global infrastructure assets
  • Experience in performance optimization and cost management for cloud environments
  • Experience explaining technical concepts in pre-sales environments
  • AWS experience preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate

Pay

Base salary range for this position is listed below:

  • USA, CA, Mountain View - $210,100.00 - $284,300.00 USD annually
  • USA, CA, Santa Monica - $182,700.00 - $247,200.00 USD annually
  • USA, TX, Austin - $182,700.00 - $247,200.00 USD annually
  • USA, TX, Dallas - $182,700.00 - $247,200.00 USD annually
  • USA, TX, Houston - $182,700.00 - $247,200.00 USD annually
