About the role
Primarily supporting the firm’s capital raising efforts as a deal manager, while also assisting across sales, origination, and business development initiatives. You will work directly with clients as their main point of contact, coordinating campaign efforts—including onboarding, preparation for raising investment, and managing work in conjunction with the Investor Relations team.
Responsibilities
- Manage and drive forward client campaigns as their primary contact at Ruffena, maintaining regular communication.
- Produce necessary reporting as part of client campaigns.
- Work with clients on preparation for raising investment—including creation of investment materials, reviewing financial documentation, data room set-up, and ensuring materials are kept up to date.
- Attend client meetings with investors and assist the Investor Relations team in maintaining and growing the firm’s investor audience.
- Origination of high-growth investment opportunities, screening and reviewing promising investee companies.
- Attend industry and networking events as required.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Strong analytical, organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer relationship management.
- Comfortable working in a small team with a results-driven approach, interacting regularly with senior management.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Experience in investment analysis, financial modelling, and valuation.
- Experience investing in businesses or raising capital from investors—ideally for early-stage businesses.
- Experience with financial data platforms like Pitchbook, Crunchbase, and Beauhurst is a strength.
- Experience with investment CRM platforms such as Affinity.
- Background in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, consulting, or senior management at an investor-backed business.
- Graduate degree.
- 8+ years of experience.
