Principal Data Scientist

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI/ML models in production environments.
• Mentor and uplift other engineers and data scientists.
• Drive architectural decisions and champion engineering excellence.
• Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines for context-aware responses.
• Lead projects involving Natural Language Processing (NLP), speech recognition (ASR), and conversational AI.
• Decompose research and tactical deliverables into modular, reusable strategic capabilities.
• Collaborate with business, product, and engineering partners to translate requirements into AI-driven solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• AI/ML Experience: Hands-on expertise in designing, building, and deploying models with a deep understanding of MLOps standards (scalable architectures, reproducibility, monitoring, CI/CD, compliance).
• NLP & Linguistics: Extensive experience in entity recognition, text summarization, and conversational analytics.
• Programming: Proficiency in Python with modern ML libraries (PyTorch, transformers, etc.).
• Cloud Technologies: Experience with AWS SageMaker, Bedrock, Athena, Snowflake, and modern streaming technologies (Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis, Apache Pulsar).
• Generative AI: Demonstrated experience with RAG pipelines and integrating external knowledge sources.
• Audio/ML: Experience with audio data pipelines, speech recognition, audio-to-audio processing, and call transcription/voice assistants.
• Hardware Optimization: Hands-on CUDA/GPU optimization experience for accelerating AI/ML workloads.
• Leadership: Proven track record of technical leadership, including conducting code/design reviews and upskilling teams.
• Communication: Strong ability to communicate complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences, including technical writing skills.

Pay & Benefits

Base Salary Range: $126,000 - $255,000 USD per year (based on responsibilities, location, experience, and other factors).
