About the role
This role is responsible for leading data-driven initiatives that drive innovation and improve operational efficiency within Siemens.Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced analytics solutions to address complex business challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
- Lead data science projects from ideation through implementation, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to enhance team performance.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in data science and machine learning, and apply these advancements to Siemens operations.
Requirements
- PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in applying statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to large datasets.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong programming skills in Python or R.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in data science or a related field.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of industry-standard data analysis tools and platforms.
- Experience with cloud-based data processing services like AWS or Google Cloud.
- Data modeling and predictive analytics.
- Machine learning and deep learning techniques.
- Data wrangling and preprocessing.
- Statistical analysis and hypothesis testing.
- Big data technologies and Hadoop ecosystem.
- SQL and NoSQL databases.
