About the role

This role is responsible for leading data-driven initiatives that drive innovation and improve operational efficiency within Siemens.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced analytics solutions to address complex business challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Lead data science projects from ideation through implementation, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to enhance team performance.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in data science and machine learning, and apply these advancements to Siemens operations.

Requirements

  • PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in applying statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to large datasets.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong programming skills in Python or R.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Qualifications

    • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in data science or a related field.
    • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Knowledge of industry-standard data analysis tools and platforms.
    • Experience with cloud-based data processing services like AWS or Google Cloud.

    • Data modeling and predictive analytics.
    • Machine learning and deep learning techniques.
    • Data wrangling and preprocessing.
    • Statistical analysis and hypothesis testing.
    • Big data technologies and Hadoop ecosystem.

    Pay

    The pay range for this position is $122,951 - $210,773 annually with a target incentive of 20% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.

    Schedule

    Full-time position with flexible working hours to accommodate remote work options where possible.
