Principal Data Engineer

About the role

This position is located in Melbourne, Florida with the option for Hybrid work. You must be within a commutable distance from the Melbourne site.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable and high-performance ETL pipelines to support enterprise data initiatives
• Arcitect data integration solutions that consolidate data from varied sources into centralized data warehouses
• Write and optimize advanced SQL queries and develop complex Python scripts for data processing and automation
• Mentor junior engineers in best practices for ETL design, coding standards, and system optimization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that data systems meet evolving business needs and compliance standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a another related STEM field with 5 or more years of experience or Master’s degree with 3 or more years of experience
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python for building and optimizing data pipelines
• Extensive experience in data integration, ETL framework design, and data warehousing
• Proven track record of architecting reliable, scalable data solutions in a complex environment
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
