Functional Skills
- Must-Have Skills:
- Experience with data modeling and performance tuning for both OLAP and OLTP databases.
- Experience with Apache Spark, Apache Airflow.
- Experience with software engineering best-practices, including but not limited to version control (Git, Subversion, etc.), CI/CD (Jenkins, Maven etc.), automated unit testing, and DevOps.
- Experience with AWS, GCP or Azure cloud services.
- AWS Certified Data Engineer certification.
- Databricks Certificate.
- Master’s degree and 4 years of Data Engineer experience.
- Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Data Engineer experience.
- Associate’s degree and 10 years of Data Engineer experience.
- High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Data Engineer experience.
