Principal Data Center Power Architect

Responsibilities

• Outline and engineer novel power routing frameworks at the rack level, encompassing alternating current, direct current, and high-voltage direct current setups.
• Evaluate and implement emerging technology, including solid-state fail-safes, smart switching, and artificial intelligence-driven load management.
• Act as the primary technical pioneer, transforming how power is scaled, governed, and distributed across next-generation facilities.
• Direct cross-functional engineering units during rapid prototyping phases to ensure new design concepts are viable and manufacturable.
• Collaborate strategically with top-tier technology suppliers to ensure seamless system interoperability and speed up product development.
• Serve as the organization's authoritative voice and thought leader in client innovation discussions and industry standardization committees.

Qualifications

• A minimum of ten years of professional background within telecom power frameworks, data center infrastructures, or power electronics.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the total power chain, spanning from the initial utility connection down to the data hall IT equipment.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across diverse, cross-functional engineering teams.
• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, provided there is established expertise in electro-mechanical power systems.
• Fifteen or more years of relevant industry expertise (nice-to-have).
• Demonstrated experience bringing entirely new electrical system concepts from ideation to the commercial market (nice-to-have).
• Flexibility to relocate to the highly preferred Raleigh, NC area, or alternative key locations including Anoka, MN, St. Louis, MO, or Tucson, AZ, with relocation support provided.

Pay

Base + Bonus + Benefits
Salary range: $170,000 - 185,000 per year
