PRINCIPAL DATA ARCHITECT with AI Experience Remote Role

About the role

We are seeking a Principal Data Architect with AI experience to develop and execute the data strategy at the business unit level. This role powers advanced end-to-end solution architecture—from transactional systems of record to AI-driven business intelligence—for highly complex and significant technology transformation initiatives. You will partner with key business and IT stakeholders to shape data architecture for both transactional integrity and consumption-driven insights.

Responsibilities

• Provide data technology leadership, oversight, and guidance to ensure solutions adhere to architecture guiding principles and standards while maximizing reuse of technology assets.
• Perform in-depth buy vs. build analysis using qualitative and quantitative metrics to recommend optimal solutions with clear rationale.
• Lead architecture design reviews, identify gaps, and recommend design changes to improve outcomes.
• Actively lead and participate in the architecture community to drive modernization of data technologies, balancing innovation with the complexities of the existing landscape.
• Develop data architectures, guardrails, and guidelines to instill strong data discipline, providing leadership, coaching, and guidance to engineering and product teams.
• Architect AI-driven business intelligence powered by a universal semantic layer, enabling predictive analytics and natural language queries.
• Advise and assist application development teams in resolving technical roadblocks, such as performance challenges, in key strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Expertise in data modeling and data design for both transactional and consumption-driven architectures.
• Proven experience in AI-forward data architecture and solution engineering.
