About the role

The Principal Cyber Systems Engineer will contribute to missile defense efforts by supporting cyber systems integration and testing activities, developing and implementing automation and operating system solutions, and providing technical documentation and support for mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support cyber systems integration and testing activities
  • Develop and implement automation and operating system solutions
  • Provide technical documentation and technical support for mission-critical systems

Requirements

  • Current, in-scope Secret or higher security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 5 years of cyber systems experience, or Master's degree in a STEM field with 3 years of cyber systems experience
  • DoD 8140/8570 certification (e.g. Security+ CE)
  • Experience working on large-scale missile defense programs
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Ability to think critically and capture concepts in work products, presentations, and discussions
  • Capable of working independently and within a team environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to support business needs
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies, object-oriented architecture, software integration and testing

Qualifications

  • Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining operating system and automation solutions in a mission-critical environment
  • Experience supporting laboratory integration, system connectivity, and verification testing activities
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues within operational and test environments
  • Experience creating technical documentation, procedures, reports, and other engineering deliverables

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools and programming languages
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
