Principal Cyber Software Engineer (Front End/UI-Focused) CI Poly
About the role
A front-end software engineer is needed to develop services using modern techniques like REST, JSON, Python, JavaScript, and web UI frameworks such as JQuery, Angular, and React. The candidate will work on designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing analytic systems using an Agile DevSecOps model. Processes and tools supporting this model include JIRA, Git, JUnit, Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify, and Artifactory. The candidate will also measure and optimize service execution using tools like AppDynamics, CloudWatch, and Splunk.
Responsibilities
- Develop services using modern techniques such as REST, JSON, Python, JavaScript, and web UI frameworks like JQuery, Angular, and React
- Perform test-driven software engineering and development activities associated with designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing analytic systems using an Agile DevSecOps model
- Use processes and tools that support the DevSecOps pipeline including JIRA, Git, JUnit, Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify, and Artifactory
- Measure and optimize service execution using tools such as AppDynamics, CloudWatch, and Splunk
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience; additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement
- Agile software development using Python, JavaScript
- Tools/Skills: Vue.js, React, Java, Python
- Knowledge of API design best practices and data governance
- Experience using Neo4j
- Node.js experience

- Knowledge of Postgres
- AWS experience
- Experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes
