Principal Corporate Counsel: Trade Secrets, Copyrights, and AI in IP

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Corporate Counsel: Trade Secrets Copyrights And AI In IP to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a Telecommunications & Hardware environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $205,600 – $260,000 annually Responsibilities Lead IP aspects of the company’s AI legal and governance strategies Evolve and manage the company’s copyright program in the AI context Develop and implement a trade secret program that functions as a genuine enterprise asset Advise the patent team on AI-specific patent strategies Audit and manage AI vendor IP exposure and establish contractual standards Serve as the legal intelligence function on AI IP developments Qualifications JD and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction 10+ years of intellectual property legal experience, with 5 years focused on technology-based IP Deep working knowledge of copyright and trade secrets as applied to AI-generated works Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) plan with a the company matching contribution Paid parental leave and disability coverage Flexible vacation policy for exempt employees with no limit Paid time off for holidays, personal wellness, and volunteer opportunities Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
