About the role
The role of Principal Core Infrastructure Engineer within the Networking organization focuses on developing innovative services in the Networking Automation & Health domain to support AI super clusters. This involves building a robust software stack for monitoring and managing network infrastructure, ensuring high bandwidth and low-latency connections critical for AI workloads. The role requires assembling and leading a team that combines software engineering excellence with network control expertise, collaborating with senior technical leaders to design and deliver solutions to complex challenges.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop major features for high-scale services, ensuring they are resilient and reliable.
- Work independently on most projects and tasks, contributing to the design and development of major components of Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure.
- Build scalable, high-performance solutions that can protect the customer cloud environment and contribute to the overall growth of Oracle Cloud.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of total experience in software development.
- Strong grasp of Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and programming paradigms.
- Proficiency in Java, GoLang, C#, or similar Object-Oriented languages.
- Experience building highly available services and understanding service-oriented design patterns and service-to-service communication protocols.
- Experience with components of modern infrastructure such as service discovery, secret storage, containerization, software-defined networking, etc.
- Experience with production operations and best practices for putting quality code in production and troubleshooting issues.
- Able to effectively communicate technical ideas verbally and in writing.
Qualifications

Pay
Hiring range in USD: $114,600 - $234,600 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
