Principal Consulting Engineer - VMware Cloud Foundation

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams in designing and developing solutions
• Proactively address or escalate budget issues during projects
• Oversee quality assurance for SOW requests, ensuring accuracy in technical content
• Maintain relationships as a trusted Technical Advisor offering virtualization best practices
• Architect, deploy, and integrate VMware Cloud Foundation solutions
• Mentor consulting engineers on deploying VMware technologies
• Contribute to the development of reusable assets like workflows and dashboards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or computer science or equivalent
• OR 14 years total IT experience including 10 in IT Infrastructure and 3 in large enterprise consulting
• Minimum 10 years of IT Infrastructure experience, including specific experience in VMware technologies
• Proficient in multitasking and managing priorities under tight deadlines
• Demonstrated ability in fostering client relationships and serving as a focal point for communication
• Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills
• Extensive hands-on experience architecting VMware Cloud Foundation environments at enterprise scale
• VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) or VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX) certifications preferred
