About the role
Join ENTRUST Solutions Group's Safety Management System (SMS) team and help clients build safer, more reliable operations. Our team works with organizations to design and implement comprehensive safety management systems or enhance existing pipeline and occupational health and safety programs.
Responsibilities
- Take the lead on diverse projects, applying your broad engineering expertise to solve complex challenges.
- Guide consulting teams, offering technical and organizational direction while collaborating closely with Project Managers and Business Unit Leaders to improve processes.
- Ensure compliance and best practices across the board by staying ahead of industry standards and innovations.
- Mentor and train team members on SMS and code compliance, drive quality control and change management systems, and influence positive organizational change.
- Identify new business opportunities and work collaboratively across business units to build the best project teams for our clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in scientific, technology, and/or engineering from an accredited university or equivalent technical degree.
- 10+ years of work experience, 5+ years of work experience at a natural gas, liquid pipeline, or electric utility.
- 8+ years of the work experience must be at a company or engineering consulting firm in a high risk, high reliability organization (nuclear energy, electrical or gas utilities).
- Collaborative approach to problem solving.
- Ability to build relationships with clients and staff members.
- Technical or leadership expertise (expert level) related to one or more disciplines.
- Industry contacts and knowledge of the industry.
- Valid driver's license for required travel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s level classes (or higher) in business management, including but not limited to business law, accounting and/or business finance.
- Training in Lean, Six Sigma, or other Continuous Improvement Techniques.
- American Society for Quality Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Manager of Quality/ Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE), Certified Quality Process Analyst (CQPA), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE), and/or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA).
Skills
- Expertise in Pipeline Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, and Process Safety Management.
- Experience with industry standards such as API RP 1173 (Pipeline Safety Management System), ANSI Z10, and ISO 45001.
- Gap assessments, implementation roadmaps, auditing, hazard analysis, and incident investigations.
- Collaborative problem-solving skills.
- Technical and leadership expertise in relevant fields.
