Principal Consultant, Safety Transformation

Essential Duties

1. Lead the design and delivery of EHS transformation programs that drive sustained improvements in safety outcomes and organizational performance.
2. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, translating complex challenges into practical, high-impact solutions.
3. Implement leading approaches to critical risk management and human performance integration.
4. Lead diagnostics and transformation initiatives that influence behavior and leadership effectiveness.
5. Expand ERM’s Health & Safety services through client engagement, solution development, and thought leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 6-8 years (10–15+ years preferred) of progressive EHS experience, including significant time in industry leadership roles or consulting environments.
• Demonstrated success leading large-scale EHS or safety culture transformations.
• Deep expertise in: Serious Injury & Fatality (SIF) prevention and critical risk management, Human performance principles and application, Safety governance, culture, and leadership.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working across multiple industries such as manufacturing, technology, biopharma, power, or mining.
• Proven ability to influence and engage executive-level stakeholders.
• Strong background in consulting, including project scoping, pricing, and business development.
• Experience developing executive-level deliverables such as strategy documents and board presentations.
