Principal Construction Estimator

Job Description

In this role, you will perform estimating activities for a wide variety of project types and delivery methods. The ideal candidate will have experience on DOT/ Highway, Water / Wastewater, Industrial, and/or Commercial markets.

Required Skills

• Understand the essentials of the heavy civil contracting business, application of products, basic code knowledge, and good organizational skills.
• Demonstrated experience with heavy civil estimating practices.
• More than 10 years of related practical work experience in the direct-hire heavy civil construction industry.
• Familiarity with construction contract documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Excellent communication skills including ability to effectively present ideas and work product to team members.
• Ability to work independently and within teams as appropriate.

Desired Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Familiarity with typical project controls and estimating software such as Microsoft Office, Primavera scheduling software, and HCSS HeavyBid.
• Experience with CAD / 3D modeling is ideal (Trimble Business Center HCE, Civil 3D, OpenRoads).

Pay

$108,700.00 - $190,200.00
