Principal Computer Systems Analyst

About the role

This position can be virtual however the preferred candidate will work hybrid from the Annapolis Junction, MD location. The Principal Computer Systems Analyst designs and develops system specifications that meet business requirements while aligning with the company's system architecture standards. This role defines and documents system parameters and formats, ensures compatibility across hardware and software platforms, and adjusts system configurations based on current and projected capacity and capability needs.

Responsibilities

• Develops SAP computer systems specifications addressing Manufacturing and Logistics Operation requirements and aligning with company's system architecture standards.
• Led discussions to combine ERP1 and ERP2 into one system, S4.
• Defines and documents system parameters and formats, ensuring compatibility across hardware and software platforms.
• Adjusts system configurations based on current and projected capacity and capability needs.
• Updates and refines existing systems and procedures to address deficiencies and improve data handling, conversion, input/output, and storage efficiency.
• Applies a strong working knowledge of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques, and operates under general supervision.
• Contributes solutions to a wide range of technical problems of growing scope and complexity.

Requirements

• Strong Excel, Power Point, Word skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US Secret Clearance.
• US citizenship preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience in operations, production, manufacturing, quality, industrial engineering, software development, equipment maintenance or related; OR
• Master's degree and 3 years of relevant experience; OR
• Associate’s degree with 7 years of relevant experience. Will consider 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree requirement.

Skills

• Strong working knowledge of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
• Proficient in performing moderately complex professional tasks.
• Strong experience in manufacturing, materials / production planning.
• Experience with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
• Experience in defense, aerospace, or security industries.
• Technical experience working in a manufacturing/production environment.

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $155,400.00
