About the role

Waters is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Chemistry Marketing Manager (CMM) to drive growth across the Americas region. This highly visible role combines deep technical expertise, commercial acumen, and strategic marketing capabilities to support revenue growth and business development initiatives. The Chemistry Marketing Manager partners closely with field sales teams to identify key markets, geographic opportunities, product priorities, and customer needs. Working across sales, marketing, and product organizations, the CMM develops and implements business strategies that deliver integrated workflow solutions featuring Waters chemistry products, instrumentation, and services.

As a hands-on field marketing leader, the CMM coaches and mentors Chemistry Account Managers, Mass Spectrometry Specialists, and Territory Account Managers to accelerate sales performance and achieve annual revenue objectives. This position reports to the Americas Field Marketing Organization and supports customers throughout the Americas Region.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute pharmaceutical chemistry business plans in partnership with field sales teams to drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with regional sales organizations to launch new products, implement sales strategies, and develop tactical plans that increase market penetration.
  • Work cross-functionally with Waters marketing and sales teams to deliver comprehensive customer workflow solutions incorporating chemistry, instrumentation, and services.
  • Support and prioritize regional marketing initiatives and events that advance key corporate objectives.
  • Deliver technical presentations, seminars, and customer-facing educational programs.
  • Create and refine marketing collateral and sales enablement materials in collaboration with Chemistry and Lab Automation segment teams.
  • Represent Waters at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer events to build relationships and strengthen market presence.
  • Achieve annual revenue targets and performance objectives.
  • Identify new market opportunities, geographic growth areas, and business development initiatives.
  • Execute regional Americas-wide field marketing programs supporting demand generation in both new and existing product portfolios.
  • Develop and deliver product, application, and sales training programs as needed.
  • Travel up to 35% overnight throughout the Americas to support business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or related scientific industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with chromatography applications; experience with Waters technologies is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing business plans that drive measurable results.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to execute initiatives, solve problems creatively, and maintain a strong customer focus.
  • Self-motivated professional with the ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to achieving business objectives.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders while exemplifying Waters' core values.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Practical sales or commercial experience within the analytical sciences, chromatography, or pharmaceutical markets.
  • Experience delivering technical and commercial training programs.
  • Familiarity with field marketing strategy and product launch execution.
