About the role

Join Micron as a Principal CAD Engineer/Manager in Boise, ID, and play a pivotal role in crafting the future of memory and semiconductor technologies! This opportunity lets you lead and innovate within a team of highly skilled engineers focused on developing flawless and world-class solutions that advance the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the building and development of advanced CAD tools and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to successfully implement and integrate CAD solutions.
  • Determine and establish CAD build standards and guidelines.
  • Mentor and guide engineers, encouraging an inclusive and collaborative environment.
  • Benchmark internal capabilities against industry standards to ensure competitive performance.
  • Coordinate the maintenance and improvement of existing CAD tools to ensure flawless operation.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in CAD tool development and management.
  • Strong knowledge of semiconductor build and processes.
  • Outstanding problem-solving abilities and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a diverse group.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++.

Qualifications

We highly value candidates with:

  • Experience in managing CAD projects from concept through implementation.
  • Experience with commonly used CAD tools and software in the industry.
  • A track record of mentoring and developing engineers early in their careers.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts.
  • Experience with DRAM or NAND device development.

Pay

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $177,000.00 - $301,000.00 a year. Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses, and equity. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training.
